Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Nigeria Prize for Science, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- The award is open to scientists and innovators worldwide (both Nigerians and non-Nigerians) involved in the application of science to provide solutions in ICT, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Digital Technologies for Development.
- Members of the Advisory Board or Panel of Judges, as well as their relatives, are not permitted to enter their works for the prize during their year of service or the following year.
- NLNG staff or their family members are ineligible to enter the prize during their years of service and for five (5) years post-service.
- Submissions must demonstrate outstanding merit and should have advanced the frontiers of knowledge and/or provide an innovative technology in ICT, Artificial Intelligence (AI), or Digital Technologies for Development.
- The entry must be a completed scientific work, supported by either a proof of concept or a compelling societal impact.
- Only one entry can be submitted by an individual or group per competition year.
- All materials required for the submission must be completed and submitted within the stipulated timeframe.
