MTN Scholarship is a fully funded program that supports Nigerian students in public universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education. It is designed to assist students with financial needs and encourage academic excellence. The scholarship has two main categories: the MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (MTN STS) and the MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (MTN SBS). Every year, hundreds of students benefit from this opportunity, receiving financial aid until they graduate, as long as they maintain the required grades.
The MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (MTN STS) is specifically for 300-level students studying Science and Technology-related courses. Since its launch in 2010, 300 students are selected annually, with each receiving ₦300,000 per year. The MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (MTN SBS) supports visually impaired students in any course. Starting in 2024, the number of blind students receiving this scholarship has increased from 60 to 100, and the award amount has also been raised from ₦200,000 to ₦300,000 per year.
