American university of Beirut scholarships 2023

American University of Beirut Scholarships – American University of Beirut has a strong financial aid program to assist its many able and qualified students who could not otherwise meet the cost of tuition. We believe that financial considerations should not become barriers to quality education for students who meet our academic criteria. Around 80 percent of students who apply for financial aid at AUB receive such assistance.

The university offers various scholarship opportunities for both undergraduate and postgraduate students such as:

Undergraduate Scholarship

The AUB Merit Scholarship Program enables the University to award full-tuition merit scholarships each year to ten new undergraduate applicants with outstanding academic qualifications. AUB merit scholarship awardees are selected from among the newly admitted undergraduate students on the basis of academic achievement and promise alone.

Awards are renewable for each undergraduate year provided that the student maintains a minimum cumulative 85% average.

No application is required prior to selection. Scholars are selected based on the admissions application only and will be directly contacted.

In 2006, AUB and the National Council for Scientific Research (NCSR) signed a cooperation agreement whereby the top five students in each of the four sections of the Lebanese Baccalaureate would be granted a full scholarship. The NCSR would provide 10 million Lebanese Pounds for each undergraduate student while the AUB would cover the remaining amount of the tuition in addition to the living expenses including boarding or transportation based on the student’s need.

No application is required prior to selection. Scholars are directly contacted based on the results of the official Lebanese Baccalaureate exams as announced by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Lebanon.
