Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the MATRIX Scholarship 2025, applicants must:
- Be Nigerian citizens seeking to study at Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU)
- Meet the academic entry requirements for either the Master’s or PhD programme in Materials Engineering

Eligible Programmes
MATRIX Scholarship 2025 is available for:
- Master’s Degree in Materials Engineering (2 years)
- Applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, or a closely related field with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division (2:1).
- Doctoral (PhD) Degree in Materials Engineering (3 years)
- Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, or a related field. The programme must be research-based with at least 60% weighted average in coursework.
